We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our research team as a Post-Doctoral Fellow or a Research Technician in the Department of Physical Therapy, School of Pharmacy and Health Profession at Creighton University. This individual will be joining an integrated clinical and research center with an overarching goal of keeping people active throughout their lifetime. Our research aims at optimizing clinical outcomes in individuals with lower extremity injuries. We are also interested in developing strategies and interventions to mitigate injury risk. There is one position available as either a Post-Doctoral Fellow or a Research Technician, dependent on qualifications.
The Post-Doctoral Fellow or a Research Technician will help coordinate a funded study aimed at investigating the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of a holistic physical therapy rehabilitation approach to improve patient-reported and clinical outcomes in individuals with chronic lower extremity injuries. This study also intends at understanding the relationship between landing mechanics during walking, stair climbing as well as other functional tasks and the development of musculoskeletal injuries. Responsibilities will include on-site data collection (at Omaha Nebraska), processing and analysis, and assisting with data dissemination. The Post-Doctoral Fellow or the Research Technician will also assist with other ongoing activities in the lab.
As this is a grant funded position for one year, work will not begin until July 1, 2024 or after. Once grant funding has been exhausted, the position will end. Additional annual renewals are dependent on performance and funding.

Education & Experience:
Required
Bachelors in kinesiology/health sciences/biology or any other relevant field.

Preferred
PhD in Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Biomechanics, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Psychology, or any other related field.
Experience with 3D motion capture systems is highly preferred.
